𝐄𝐱𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐞 𝐖𝐨𝐨𝐝𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠: 𝐋𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐇𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐲 𝐢𝐧 𝐚 𝟏𝟕𝟐𝟎 𝐒𝐭𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐇𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐞When a centuries-old home shifts over 300 years, it takes more than just “a little adjustment.” This project was a true test of skill and patience — raising the second-floor framing, re-leveling a stubborn window header, and breathing new life back into the original details.We carefully removed stone above the floor joists, installed heavy-duty jacks to lift and stabilize the structure, then reset the window header to true level. Once everything was locked in, we rebuilt the historic window trim to honor the craftsmanship of the original 1720 build.From exposed stone and temporary supports to clean, level, finished beauty — this one pushed the limits, but the result was incredibly satisfying.There’s something special about working with buildings that have stood for nearly three centuries.
